If you have the world’s greatest passion for aviation history, you’re in luck. Fantasy of Flight is home to the world’s greatest collection of vintage aircraft. Historic, awe-inspiring time machines – flown every day. Ones that don’t collect museum dust, but collect fans and aviation enthusiasts from all points of the compass.

The fleet of vintage aircraft displayed at Fantasy of Flight has earned the admiration of knowledgeable aviators and inspired the imagination of those who have always dreamed of soaring above the clouds. The vintage aircraft, painstakingly acquired by lifelong aviation enthusiast and Fantasy of Flight founder Kermit Weeks, represent all eras of aviation from early flight to the 1950s.

The two large hangers at Fantasy of Flight are filled with vintage aircraft from each aviation era – many have been carefully restored to represent the same dignity they possessed when they ruled the skies. Visit our “Carrier Deck” and see historic carrier-based aircraft, such as the Corsair and F3F. In our Immersion Experience, you can board the aircraft that brought the enemy to its knees – the legendary B-17 Flying Fortress. And for a behind-the-scenes look at vintage aircraft on the path to restoration, our Golden Hill facility is a must-see experience.

Please note: Some aircraft may not always be onsite.

Early Flight

Where would we be today without Orville and Wilbur? Thoroughly grounded. These rare aircraft represent the bold men (and women!) who dared to reach for the skies in these magnificent flying machines.

WWI

Aircraft reveal their military destiny—changing the nature of warfare forever. “Ace” enters the popular vernacular and Manfred von Richthofen – The Red Baron – secures his place in the aviation history books.

Korean War / Post WWII

Aircraft built and flown during this era were known for unparalleled innovation and performance; the ”jet age” ushers in a brand new approach to aviation.

World's Greatest Aircraft Collection
