Fantasy of Flight Presents "They Dared To Fly"
An Exhibit Dedicated to the Tuskegee Airmen
POLK CITY, FL (August 12) - Fantasy of Flight has announced the unveiling of an exhibit, They Dared To Fly, dedicated to the Tuskegee Airmen of World War II, on Friday, Aug. 19th at 9:00 a.m. The exhibit is the newest addition to the attraction that celebrates the human potential displayed throughout aviation history.
The exhibit presents the achievement, struggles and stories of the airmen with dignity and honor. The experience emphasizes the power of a dream and the determination of the human spirit through the sights and sounds of that era.
Fantasy of Flight is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $24.95 for adults and $13.95 for children ages 5-12. Children ages 4 and under are free. Senior citizens age 60 and over are eligible for a discounted admission of $22.95. (Florida state sales tax is not included.) Admission includes entrance to Fantasy of Flight and the exhibit.
More than a museum, Fantasy of Flight is home to the "World's Greatest Aircraft Collection" featuring over 40 meticulously restored rare and vintage aircraft, Corsair flight simulators, daily restoration shop & back-lot tours, aircraft of the day flights, a gift shop and the art deco "Compass Rose Diner" open daily for lunch, and snacks.
