Fantasy of Flight Reopening
Polk City, FL (August 25, 2006) - After being closed to the public for a week, Fantasy of Flight will welcome guests again on August 28 with upgrades that will further enhance the experience of the attraction. Guests will also notice the famous DC-3 is back in position on I-4. This time, it's taking off!
To celebrate, Fantasy of Flight is extending the Florida residents offer through the month of September. Guests showing proof of Florida residency will enjoy kids prices, just $13.95 plus tax.
Many exciting things to see and do are available with something for everyone to enjoy.
Fun with Flight is the newest addition to the attraction. This hands-on interactive experience gives kids of all ages the opportunity to take a spin in a hang gliding simulator, learn the principles of lift with Bernoulli's Ball and construct a paper airplane in the Fly Zone.
A full-motion simulator, the Virtual Flight Explorer, allows the entire family to enjoy a variety of ride experiences such as Barnstormers, Desert Storm Strike and more. This experience is a fantastic adventure you won't want to miss.
Guided tours are offered, which allow guests to take a look behind the scenes as a variety of vintage aircraft are being restored. Trams take guests to areas of the facility that previously were not accessible to the public, which opens up whole new world of aviation restoration.
Guests climb aboard an actual B-17 Flying Fortress and feel and see what the soldiers faced in a World War II bombing mission in the immersion experience.
Fantasy of Flight is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission to the attraction is $26.95 for adults with discounted admission of $13.95 for children (ages 5-12), and $22.95 for seniors (60 years and over). All prices are subject to state sales tax, and parking is FREE.
Fantasy of Flight is home to the "World's Greatest Aircraft Collection" featuring more than 40 beautifully restored rare and vintage aircraft.
