Fantasy of Flight Hosts Auditions for Radio Disney Performance

Polk City, FL (June 2, 2006) - The popular movie, High School Musical, which has enjoyed national popularity on the Disney Channel, is looking for local talent in Polk County. Radio Disney will perform a talent search for kids ages 14 and under at Fantasy of Flight on June 11, from 1 - 3 p.m. in search for the next performer to record a song at the Walt Disney World Recording Studio in California.

The contest is limited to the first 50 contestants that arrive. (Participants can only sign up in person on June 11. No early registrations available.)

Contestants will get to showcase their talent by singing along, karaoke style, to select musical tracks featured on the High School Musical soundtrack. Every contestant will receive a participation prize with the local winner earning a Radio Disney Prize Pack. Performances will be videotaped, and one winner will be chosen as the local market winner. The entry will be submitted in the national competition. The national winner wins an all-expense paid trip to California to record their song and be played on Radio Disney as a featured artist for 2 weeks!

Contestants will also receive a gift pack from Fantasy of flight, which will include a free admission to be used that day or at a later date along with other exciting gifts from the attraction.

Fantasy of Flight is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission to the attraction is $24.95 for adults with discounted admissions for children (ages 5-12), $13.95 and for seniors (60 years and over) $22.95 (all prices subject to state sales tax) and parking is FREE.

Fantasy of Flight is home to the "World's Greatest Aircraft Collection" featuring more than 40 beautifully restored rare and vintage aircraft.
