{"id":2092,"date":"2009-05-08T02:50:35","date_gmt":"2009-05-08T02:50:35","guid":{"rendered":"\/?p=401"},"modified":"2009-05-08T02:50:35","modified_gmt":"2009-05-08T02:50:35","slug":"2009-sun-n-fun-splash-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fantasyofflight.com\/collection\/kermit-weeks\/2009-sun-n-fun-splash-in\/","title":{"rendered":"2009 Sun &#8216;n Fun \/ Splash In"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-405 colorbox-2092\" title=\"grumman-duck-in-flight\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fantasyofflight.com\/collection\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/grumman-duck-in-flight.jpg\" alt=\"grumman-duck-in-flight\" width=\"576\" height=\"380\" \/>We hosted our second Splash-In event as part of the Sun &#8216;n Fun Fly-In on Thursday, April 23rd. \u00a0It was a great success! \u00a0Last year we had 85 seaplanes and this year we had 101! \u00a0The weather was perfect and I got a chance to fly the Grumman Duck for everyone. \u00a0We are beginning to plan and promote our own Seaplane Fly-In during the last weekend of September of this year so keep your eyes peeled for more information. \u00a0With our great shoreline and seaplane ramp, we have the potential to create one of the premier Seaplane Fly-In&#8217;s in the world!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-407 colorbox-2092\" title=\"ford-tri-motor-with-hong-my-and-dan-cherry\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fantasyofflight.com\/collection\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/ford-tri-motor-with-hong-my-and-dan-cherry-1024x791.jpg\" alt=\"ford-tri-motor-with-hong-my-and-dan-cherry\" width=\"606\" height=\"468\" \/>Of course, during the Fly-In I get to meet many new and old friends. \u00a0One of the more interesting new ones were Lt.
